The capital of South Sikkim district is known as Namchi in the Indian state of Sikkim. Appeli Namchi means Sky (Name) High (Chi) in Sikkim.
Geography
Namchi situated at an elevation of 1,675 meters (5500 ft) above sea level. It is located 78 kilometers (48 mi) from the state capital Gangtok and is 100 kilometers (62 mi) from Siliguri city, the nearest railroad, and the airport. Namchi located on the road between Meli and Jorthang. Namchi well connected to Sikkim and other cities of West Bengal.
Jeeps and buses run regularly between Namchi to Gangtok, Pelling, Jorethang, Kalimpong, and Siliguri.
It is home to the Baxa Formation of Mamley, a stromatolite influenced by dolomite limestone, which has been proclaimed a National Geological Monument by the Geological Survey of India (GSI) for the conservation, maintenance, enrichment and enhancement of geomorphic.
Tourism
Namchi is fast becoming a pilgrimage center and tourist destination. The world's most mammoth figurine (at 118 feet) of Buddhist Padmasambhava, also called the Guru Rinpoche, the patron saint of Sikkim, is on the Samadweep Pahari of Namchi. It completed in February 2004. It is also said that the Samdrep hill is a dormant volcano. Myths say that Buddhist monks are going to the top of the hill and offering prayers to calm the volcano. There is also a rock garden a little kilometer from the city on the way to Samdrep. This area has views of Mt. Kanchendzong, aka Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world's third-highest peak.
Pilgrim sites
Recently inaugurated in Nov 2011, Siddheshwara Dham is a pilgrimage-tourism enterprise of the Govt of Sikkim, developed as a "Pilgrim-cum-Cultural Center," with an 87 foot statue of lord Shiva and 4 shrines of the country. There are replicas of Solo folk in Namchi situated on the hill. The Char Dham, the four most revered shrines of the Hindus, has been replicated in this magnificent complex to benefit devotees and tourists.
Chief Minister Pawan Chamling's Dream Project, conceived by him and started in the year 2005, is primarily due to the mythological setting behind the setting up of the original dhams, among the breathtaking litigants around Solo folk hill. For the consecration of Shri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, for the "PranPratishtha" of the Dham, in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Pawan Chamling and his wife, Mrs. Teeka Maya Chamling.
Rameshwaram at Rameswaram in Rameswaram has replicas of "Dwadash Jyotirlingas" (Twelve Jyotirlingas) of Somnath, Mallikarjuna, Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Kedarnath, Bhimshankar, Vishwanath, Trimbakeshwar, Vaidyanath, Nageshwar, Rameshwar, etc.
There is also a grand idol of Kirateshwar Mahadev and the temple of Shirdi Sai Baba. From here, one can see the views of Mount Kanchenjunga, a statue of Guru Padmasambhava, Darjeeling, and other such places. Dham offers devotees an overnight stay at the "Yeti Niwas," which can seat more than 90 people at a time.
Sightseeing & delicacies
A helipad is located about 5 km from the city at an altitude of about 5000 feet. The most panoramic view of Mt. can be seen from here. Kanchenjunga, with other adjacent peaks; a part of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and the rolling plains of Bengal is also seen.
Near the city, Sikkim's only tea estate - Temi Tea Garden located. Tourists can enjoy a beautiful view of the Temi Tea Plantation - the only tea estate in the state that generates top quality tea in the international market. Tea takes a premium worldwide and costs around Rs. 800 /-a kg.
Upon arrival, meet our representative and drive to Pelling via Jorethang. Arrival at Pelling, check into the Hotel. Evening free to walk around the town. Overnight stay at Hotel / Homestay.
Breakfast at Hotel . Drive to Khangchendzonga waterfalls (23 kms/1 ½ hrs) Enroute see Rimbi waterfalls. Drive to Khechupalri Lake (16 kms/40 minutes from KWF) - Sacred and wish full filling lake amidst a deep and rich forest. Drive back to Pelling (28 kms/1 ½ hrs) Lunch at Hotel in Pelling. After Lunch, visit Pemayangtse monastery (Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism/310 yrs old) Visit Rabdentse palace ruins (02nd capital of Sikkim)- 30 minutes easy walk from the main road through the forest/ CC footpath. After breakfast proceed to Assam’s most famous historical place of Ahom Kingdom birthplace Sivasagar (169 kms -Travel time around 3 hrs), en-route sightseeing Rang Ghar, Kareng Ghar, Talatal Ghar, Joysagar Tank. Early Morning Hike (easy/ 40 Mins) to Resum Monastery to View sunrise over Mountains .Walk back to Hotel, Breakfast at Hotel and checkout. Drive to Ravangla Via Reshi, Legship. enroute Visit Bon Monastery at Kewzing. Upon arrival check into Hotel / Homestay and Lunch . After Lunch visit Tatagatha - Tsal (Buddha Park). TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please note as per the Government Rule, in 01 Tata Sumo / Hard Top Jeep only 08 heads are allowed that is including child. In 01 INNOVA only 06 heads are allowed that is including child. Incase the number of heads traveling increases above 08 in a Tata Sumo / Hard Top Jeep & 06 in an Innova than the guest will have to opt for the 2nd (second) vehicle for which the cost is mentioned above.
Incase the guest is opting for INNOVA as per the unwritten syndicate rule; INNOVA will do the main transfer & sightseeing of Kalimpong & Darjeeling only. Lachung & Pelling sightseeing will be done by NON AC Tata Sumo / Mahindra Maxx / Hard Top vehicle which may have front / side facing seat. Gangtok sightseeing will be done by NON AC Maruti Van / Similar (one vehicle for every 04 paying Pax). Also while opting for INNOVA please inform the guest to travel light with minimum baggage of one piece per person. In case of excess baggage the guest will have to opt for an extra vehicle for carrying the excess baggage. The cost for this will be collected directly from the guest.

Process Of Making Advance Payment
50 % of the total package cost must be deposited as an advance in our company's account to confirm the package. Remaining 50 % of the package cost will be collected on arrival (First day of the Tour).
Customers must carry the issued confirmation letter on their trip as it contains important information like confirmed hotel, Cab Details and Service contact Numbers.
PROCESS OF MAKING ADVANCE PAYMENT:

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
There is no contract between AKK CRUSIER and the client until the company has received initial deposit amount of specified tour package.
In case, customer wishes to cancel his/her booking before 15 days of the travel date because of whatsoever reasons, including accident, sickness, or any other personal reasons, non-payment of the balance payment, the Company is liable to recover Cancellation charges from the Client. All the cancellations must be communicated in written.
Advance amount 50% is also non-refundable in case the cancellation is done within 15 days of the travel dates or No Show scenarios.
The Company deserves the right to change the package cost depending on the economical status of the market as per the Government policy.
Services will be provided to the customers as mentioned in the booking voucher only.
Any complimentary services (If not provided) cannot be claimed in form of cash or alternative service.AKK CRUSIER have the right to cancel your Invoice due to insufficient Advance Amount i.e. 50% of the total tour Package Cost.
AMENDMENT POLICY (PREPONE & POSTPONE):
In case client wishes to prepone /postpone his or her travel dates, we request you to kindly reach us 15 days prior to journey date via e-mail.
The customers can prepone /postpone their tour once without any additional charges (if intimated before 15 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing second time will attract additional charges.
Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.
In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Tranasprotation and season/off season time.
We do not accept any changes in plan within 15 days of travel date. However in rare cases like adverse climatic conditions or strikes, package can be postponed which will be intimated to you beforehand.
The validity to utilize your Advance payment in prepone/postpone scenarios is 1 Year from the date of advance payment.
The advance payment and the invoice Number allotted to you, are transferable i.e. you can pass on your booking to any of your friends/ relatives. (Please Note: In order to transfer your booking you must meet the above terms and conditions first).
