Itinerary

DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu (Drive: 1.5-2 hrs)
  • Arrival in Paro: Arrive at Paro International Airport, the only international airport in Bhutan.
  • Transfer to Thimphu: After clearing immigration, drive to the capital city, Thimphu, which is around 1.5-2 hours away.
  • Check-in at your hotel in Thimphu.
  • Evening: Relax or take a leisurely walk through Thimphu's main street, a small and charming city with a perfect blend of modernity and tradition.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.
DAY 2

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
  • Morning: Visit the Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the government, and the National Memorial Chorten, a prominent religious site.
  • Afternoon: Explore the Buddha Dordenma Statue, the largest statue of Buddha in Bhutan, located on a hilltop offering a panoramic view of Thimphu.
  • Visit the Textile Museum, where you can learn about Bhutan traditional weaving techniques, and the Folk Heritage Museum for a glimpse into Bhutanese culture.
  • Evening: Take a stroll through Thimphu market and enjoy local handicrafts.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.
DAY 3

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha (Drive: 3 hrs)
Morning: After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass. On a clear day, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Arrive in Punakha: Check-in at your hotel in Punakha. Afternoon: Visit the famous Punakha Dzong, often referred to as the Palace of Great Happiness. It is one of Bhutan most beautiful dzongs, located at the confluence of the Pho and Mo rivers. Evening: Enjoy a peaceful walk along the river and take in the scenic beauty of Punakha. Overnight stay in Punakha.
DAY 4

Day 4: Punakha – Gangtey (Phobjikha Valley) (Drive: 3 hrs)
Morning: After breakfast, depart for Valley, a beautiful glacial valley and the winter home of the rare black-necked cranes. Afternoon: Visit the Gangtey Monastery, perched on a hilltop, offering a spectacular view of the valley. Evening: Explore the valley and enjoy a peaceful walk through the pristine countryside. Overnight stay in Gangtey or Phobjikha Valley.
DAY 5

Day 5: Gangtey to Paro (Drive: 4-5 hrs)
Morning: After breakfast, check out and drive to Paro, the starting point for your journey back. Afternoon: Arrive in Paro, check-in at your hotel, and relax. Evening: Take a walk around the Paro Dzong and visit the National Museum, which houses Bhutan’s fascinating history, culture, and art. Overnight stay in Paro.
DAY 6

Day 6: Hike to Tiger Nest Monastery (Paro)
Morning: After breakfast, embark on the famous hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest). This monastery, perched on the edge of a cliff at 3,120 meters, is one of Bhutan most iconic landmarks. The hike is about 5-6 hours round-trip and offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Afternoon: After visiting the monastery, return to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon. Evening: Relax and unwind in Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.
DAY 7

Day 7: Paro – Sightseeing & Leisure Day
Morning: Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, built in the 7th century. Afternoon: Take some free time to explore Paro’s local markets, or visit Drukgyel Dzong, an ancient fortress offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Evening: Enjoy a relaxing evening with some last-minute shopping for Bhutanese handicrafts. Overnight stay in Paro.
DAY 8

Day 8: Departure from Paro
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel. Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure. End of your Bhutan Tour with wonderful memories of Bhutan culture, spirituality, and breathtaking landscapes.

Additional cost arising due to mishaps, political unrest, natural calamities like - landslides, road blockage, etc. In such case extra will have to be paid on the spot by the guest directly.

Children above 10+ years will be charged 100% as per Adult Rate (EPSR)

Children of 5+ to 10 sharing parent’s room will be charged as per CWB or CNB
