Overview

Har Ki Dun, meaning "Valley of Gods," is a cradle-shaped hanging valley in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and alpine vegetation, this 7-day trek takes you through ancient villages, pine forests, mountain rivers, and breathtaking meadows. Ideal for both beginners and intermediate trekkers.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive - 200 km / 8-9 hrs)
  • Early morning departure from Dehradun

  • Scenic drive through Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori along the Tons River

  • Arrive at Sankri (6,400 ft), the base village

  • Check-in to guesthouse/homestay and briefing by trek leader

  • Overnight in Sankri

DAY 2

Day 2: Sankri to Taluka (Drive - 12 km) and Trek to Seema (12 km trek)
Jeep ride to Taluka (trailhead) Trek through pine forests, crossing the Supin River multiple times Pass by village fields, waterfalls, and wooden bridges Reach Seema campsite (8,000 ft) by evening Overnight in tents
DAY 3

Day 3: Seema to Har Ki Dun (12 km trek)
Ascend gradually through forests and wildflower meadows Pass through Osla village (famous for ancient wooden temples) Reach Har Ki Dun valley (11,500 ft), surrounded by Swargarohini peaks Overnight in tents with views of snow peaks
DAY 4

Day 4: Exploration Day at Har Ki Dun

DAY 5

Day 5: Har Ki Dun to Seema (12 km trek)
Retrace your steps back to Seema Enjoy descending views and village interactions Overnight in tents at Seema
DAY 6

Day 6: Seema to Taluka (12 km trek) and drive to Sankri
Final leg of the trek to Taluka Drive back to Sankri for hot meals and a warm bed Overnight in guesthouse/homestay
DAY 7

Day 7: Sankri to Dehradun (Drive - 200 km / 8-9 hrs)
