Itinerary

DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival in Joshimath

Arrive at Haridwar / Dehradun / Rishikesh Railway Station or Airport.
Transfer to Joshimath (approx. 9-10 hrs drive via Devprayag, Rudraprayag & Karnaprayag).
Check-in at the hotel and relax.
Evening at leisure – explore Joshimath Market & temples.
Overnight stay in Joshimath.

DAY 2

Day 2: Drive to Govindghat & Trek to Ghangaria

After breakfast, drive to Govindghat (22 km / 1 hr). Start the 13 km trek to Ghangaria (by foot or hire a pony/helicopter at extra cost). En route, enjoy stunning views of the Pushpawati River and lush valleys. Arrive at Ghangaria, check in at a guesthouse/hotel. Evening free for rest or exploring the small Himalayan village. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

DAY 3

Day 3: Trek to Valley of Flowers & Back to Ghangaria

After breakfast, begin the 6 km trek to the Valley of Flowers. Experience a blooming paradise of rare Himalayan flowers like Blue Poppy, Cobra Lily, and Brahma Kamal. Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, streams, and lush green meadows. Spend 3-4 hours exploring the valley, then return to Ghangaria. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

DAY 4

Day 4: Trek to Hemkund Sahib & Back to Ghangaria

Early morning 6 km steep trek to Hemkund Sahib (optional but recommended). Visit Hemkund Sahib, a sacred Sikh pilgrimage site at 4,329m, next to a pristine glacial lake. Witness the majestic Himalayan backdrop. Trek back to Ghangaria and relax. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

DAY 5

Day 5: Trek Back to Govindghat & Drive to Joshimath

After breakfast, trek 13 km downhill to Govindghat. Drive back to Joshimath and check in at the hotel. Evening visit to Narsingh Temple & Kalpavriksha. Overnight stay in Joshimath.

DAY 6

Day 6: Departure from Joshimath

After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar / Dehradun / Rishikesh for departure.
