DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival in Kochi – Transfer to Thekkady
  • Morning: Arrive at Kochi (Cochin) and transfer to Thekkady (approximately 4 hours by road).

  • Afternoon: Check-in to an eco-lodge or wildlife resort in Thekkady. After checking in, relax and enjoy the natural beauty around you.

  • Evening: Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary for a boat safari on the Periyar Lake to spot elephants, bison, and other wildlife.

  • Overnight: Stay at a resort in Thekkady.

DAY 2

Day 2: Tribal Heritage and Spice Plantation Tour
Morning: After breakfast, embark on a guided tribal heritage tour. Visit nearby tribal villages and interact with the local communities, learning about their way of life, customs, and traditional practices. Afternoon: Enjoy a spice plantation tour to explore how Kerala famed spices like cardamom, black pepper, and vanilla are cultivated and harvested. Experience the aroma and beauty of Kerala’s spice gardens. Evening: Return to your resort for a peaceful evening. You may opt for a cultural performance or traditional dance in the evening. Overnight: Stay at your resort in Thekkady.
DAY 3

Day 3: Trek to Agasthyakoodam – Gavi
Morning: Early morning transfer to Gavi (2 hours by road), a serene and less-explored wildlife and eco-tourism destination. Once there, begin a trek through the Gavi forest reserve or opt for a short trek to Agasthyakoodam, Kerala’s second-highest peak. Afternoon: Enjoy a packed lunch in the forest and continue exploring the wilderness and natural beauty of Gavi. You may spot wildlife such as elephants, deer, and various species of birds. Evening: Check in to your eco-resort in Gavi, enjoy a traditional Kerala meal, and unwind amidst nature. Overnight: Stay at an eco-resort in Gavi.
DAY 4

Day 4: Vazhachal Waterfalls and Athirappilly Waterfalls
  • Morning: After breakfast, transfer to Vazhachal Waterfalls (2 hours drive). Enjoy the scenic beauty of the falls and the lush green surroundings.

  • Afternoon: Visit Athirappilly Waterfalls, Kerala largest waterfall, often called the Niagara of India. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the area and take in the beauty of the falls.

  • Evening: Return to your resort in Thekkady or enjoy a relaxed evening in the picturesque countryside.

  • Overnight: Stay at your resort in Thekkady.

DAY 5

Day 5: Return to Kochi – Departure
Morning: After breakfast, check out from your resort and drive back to Kochi (approximately 4 hours). Afternoon: Upon arrival in Kochi, visit Fort Kochi for a brief sightseeing tour. Explore the Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, and the vibrant local markets. Evening: Depending on your departure time, transfer to Kochi Airport/Train Station for your onward journey.
