Held annually in December at Kisama Heritage Village near Kohima, the Hornbill Festival is known as the "Festival of Festivals." This short tour offers an immersive cultural experience combined with scenic landscapes and a glimpse of Naga tribal life.

Itinerary

DAY 1

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN DIMAPUR – TRANSFER TO KOHIMA

Arrive at Dimapur Airport Railway Station. Meet and greet, then transfer to Kohima (approx. 3 hours drive). En route, enjoy scenic views. Check-in at hotel. Evening at leisure to explore local markets or relax. Overnight stay in Kohima.

DAY 2

DAY 2: FULL DAY AT HORNBILL FESTIVAL, KISAMA HERITAGE VILLAGE

After breakfast, proceed to Kisama Heritage Village to attend the grand Hornbill Festival. Witness cultural performances, traditional dances, Naga wrestling, indigenous games, and music concerts. Explore local handicraft stalls and food courts to experience authentic Naga cuisine. Return to hotel in Kohima. Overnight stay.

DAY 3

DAY 3: KOHIMA LOCAL SIGHTSEEING + HORNBILL FESTIVAL

Post breakfast, visit key attractions of Kohima like Kohima War Cemetery, State Museum, and Cathedral of Kohima. Later, head back to Kisama Village for more Hornbill festivities and events. Participate in evening concerts and cultural nights. Return to hotel. Overnight stay in Kohima.

DAY 4

DAY 4: KOHIMA – DIMAPUR DEPARTURE

After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Dimapur. Drop at Airport Railway Station for onward journey with beautiful memories of Nagaland and the Hornbill Festival.
