Itinerary

DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Nairobi.
If time allows, explore the city and visit attractions such as the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see orphaned elephants, or the Giraffe Centre to interact with endangered Rothschild giraffes.
Overnight stay in Nairobi.

DAY 2

Day 2: Nairobi to Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, depart for Aberdare National Park (approximately 3-4 hours by road). Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge or resort. Aberdare is famous for its lush forests, waterfalls, and wildlife. Enjoy a scenic afternoon in the park with an optional game drive or relax at the lodge. Visit the Aberdare Treetop Lodge or The Ark Lodge, where you can view wildlife from the comfort of your lodge, as animals often visit waterholes nearby. Overnight stay in Aberdare.

DAY 3

Day 3: Aberdare to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and head to Lake Naivasha (approximately 3 hours by road). Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and enjoy lunch. Spend the afternoon enjoying a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot various birds, hippos, and other wildlife. The crescent-shaped lake is home to a variety of bird species, making it a perfect spot for birdwatching. Alternatively, you can visit Hells Gate National Park, known for its geothermal features, cliffs, and wildlife. Overnight stay in Lake Naivasha.

DAY 4

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara

After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5-6 hours by road). Check in at your Masai Mara lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the Masai Mara, home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino). If visiting during the Great Migration (July to October), you will witness the spectacular crossing of wildebeests and zebras across the Mara River. Overnight stay in Masai Mara.

DAY 5

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara

Start early with a morning game drive, taking advantage of the cooler morning hours to spot more wildlife. After breakfast, visit a local Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life, culture, and heritage. After lunch, enjoy another game drive through the reserve, where you’ll likely encounter lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and countless other animals. Return to your lodge in the evening for a relaxing dinner and reflection on your safari experience. Overnight stay in Masai Mara.

DAY 6

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Masai Mara before heading back to Nairobi (approximately 5-6 hours by road). Depending on your departure time, you can stop for some last-minute shopping or visit the Karen Blixen Museum. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
