Itinerary

DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
  • Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.
  • Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Nairobi.
  • Depending on your arrival time, you can take a brief city tour or relax at your hotel. Visit the Giraffe Centre to interact with the endangered Rothschild giraffes or explore David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for orphaned elephants.
  • Overnight stay in Nairobi.
DAY 2

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5-6 hours by road). Check-in at your Masai Mara lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Masai Mara, known for its rich wildlife, including the famous Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino). Overnight stay in Masai Mara.
DAY 3

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara
Start the day early with a morning game drive to spot wildlife during the cooler hours. After breakfast, visit a local Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life, including their customs, culture, and the iconic Maasai dance. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the park, where you may see cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, and more. If you are visiting during the Great Migration (July to October), witness the spectacular migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles across the Mara River. Overnight stay in Masai Mara.
DAY 4

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Elementaita
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Masai Mara before heading to Lake Elementaita (approximately 5-6 hours by road). Arrive at Lake Elementaita, a serene and picturesque lake located within the Great Rift Valley. Check in at your Lake Elementaita lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the lake. Optionally, enjoy a bird-watching experience, as the area is home to over 400 species of birds, including flamingos and pelicans. Overnight stay at Lake Elementaita.
DAY 5

Day 5: Departure from Nairobi
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and head back to Nairobi (approximately 2.5-3 hours by road). Depending on your departure time, you can visit the Karen Blixen Museum, the home of the famous author of Out of Africa, or shop for souvenirs at one of Nairobi craft markets. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
